It's important to understand what you're taking on in the first place.
Much better to do that & let a dog settle into the right home,
than have a
dog moved on from home to home.
- Then, buy: 'The
Rescue Dog' UK version (this book is also called 'Adopt
the Perfect Dog' if you want to buy in USA)
You'll need it, (starting with the first night!).
If you can buy it & read up on it before you adopt a dog, you'll avoid a lot
of problems & have a happier dog. Promise.
- Adoption Costs:
expect to pay around £100 to the rescue
organisation (this is to help pay for vets bills, dematting, vaccinations, transportation
etc)
